Is my data uploaded anywhere?
No. Safemii does all its work on your phone. It has no servers and no account, so your text, photos, and PDFs are never uploaded - not to us, not to anyone.
Does Safemii work without internet?
Yes. Because everything happens on your device, Safemii works fully in airplane mode. The internet is never needed to clean a file.
Is it safe to use before pasting into ChatGPT or other AI?
Yes - that's a main reason it exists. Clean your text in Safemii first, then paste the safe version into ChatGPT, Gemini, or Claude, so your private details are not sent off to be stored or used for training.
When Safemii blacks out a PDF, is the text really gone?
Yes. The text is actually removed from the file you save, not just covered with a black box that someone could lift off later. If a tool only looks like it removed something, that's worse than no tool - so Safemii really removes it.

What kinds of personal info can it find?
Names, emails, phone numbers, ID and card numbers, addresses and locations, and hidden info inside photos such as where and when a picture was taken.
What hidden info is in my photos?
Photos often carry hidden details like the exact GPS location where they were taken, the date and time, and the device used. Safemii can show and remove these before you share the picture.
Does Safemii track me or show ads?
No. There's no tracking and there are no ads, in either the free or paid version.
