Your files stay on your phone

Updated July 1, 2026 - Privacy promise

Short answer: Safemii cleans your text, photos, and PDFs on your phone. There is no account, no sign-up, and no file upload to Safemii. Your original files are not sent to us for scanning, redaction, metadata removal, or PDF cleanup. You can use the core cleanup flow with the internet switched off.

Most file cleanup tools ask you to upload the thing you want cleaned. That creates a new privacy problem: the file leaves your phone before it is cleaned. Safemii is built around the opposite habit.

What "on your phone" means

When you scan text, clean a photo, strip hidden photo info, or black out a PDF, the work happens inside the app on your device. The file does not need to be sent to a Safemii server first. There is no web dashboard, no login, and no cloud copy waiting somewhere else.

What Safemii does not upload

What may use the internet later

Store downloads and purchases, once the public listings are live, are handled by the App Store or Google Play and their payment systems. Those store systems do not need your private files to clean them. Safemii's file cleanup flow is separate from store billing.

No account, no ad tracking

Safemii does not need your email address to clean a file. It does not show ads and does not sell ad profiles. The website is also static: it is built to load fast without tracking scripts or third-party ad code.

How to check the claim

Turn on airplane mode and clean a piece of text, a photo, or a PDF. The core cleanup still works because it does not need a server. You can also use a network monitor if you want to inspect the app's traffic during cleanup.

When it removes something, it should be gone

Privacy cleanup should not be cosmetic. If Safemii blacks out a PDF text region or removes hidden photo info, the saved copy is meant to remove that data from the file, not merely hide it on screen. For important files, always open the clean copy and review it before sending.
